AI UX Principles & Interaction Guidelines
The AI UX Principles & Interaction Guidelines define how we design, evaluate, and govern AI-powered experiences—so that AI behaves predictably, supports user intent, and builds trust in high-stakes workflows.
This guidance establishes shared principles, interaction patterns, and safeguards that help teams determine:
- when AI should inform vs. assist vs. act
- how AI should present confidence, uncertainty, and recommendations
- where human control, validation, and oversight are required
Together, these guidelines ensure AI experiences feel intentional, transparent, and human-centered by design—while reducing risk and improving decision quality across our products.
Currently, this content is presented as a top-level topic within the INFRA Design System to reflect its strategic importance. Over time, these guidelines will evolve into a cross-cutting layer embedded across components, patterns, and workflows.
